Hey, hey, friends! I hope your new year is starting off on the right foot. I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself. My name is Kelsey and I am the owner of Frida Doula and Childbirth Services. I am a DONA-trained doula serving the New Ulm and surrounding communities with doula services, as well as childbirth classes that I offer through New Ulm ECFE.

Having a doula at my own births was a game-changer for the experience that not only I had, but also my husband. The turning point for me wanting to become a doula who helps mamas have fond memories of their birth experience was when my littlest guy joined our crew. He was my longest, most intense labor. After over a dozen nurses and doctors flood into my hospital room for his birth, they just as quickly exited the room with our newest addition and my husband at their heels. All that was left in the room with me was my doula. I am forever grateful to her and how impactful having her in that uncertain time was.

When I am not working with pregnant gals and their birth partners, you can find me camping in the summer or diligently planning our camping trips in the winter. I enjoy keeping our household running, reading, and obsessing about all things birth. Here's a Mom-Tip Monday:

I recently added this evening shift into my habits and let's just say, things have been going smoother! Every night before bed, I toss all of the dishes in the dishwasher, and hit "run". Waking up in the morning to dishes that are washed, dried, and ready to be put away has helped my mornings with kids run smoother.
