Hey everyone thanks for stopping by my page and following! Quick little bio of me, I'm 34 years old. I live in New Ulm, have since 1999, minus a brief 4 years spent living in another city. I have 2 children both in the NUPS system, one in 2nd grade and one in kindergarten. I am a NUPS alumni. Class of '06! I have coached football for the last 4 years for the New Ulm Area Youth Football Association, and at the end of this football season I hope to be welcomed on the board of directors for NUAYFBA. I currently and for the last 6 years sit on the board of directors for the Minnesota Independent Order of Oddfellows summer youth camp. And although it has been some time since I attended a meeting I am also a member and strong supporter of the Optomist Club of New Ulm and all they do for the youth in our community! My reasons for running for school board are simple, 1.) Because I have children who attend NUPS and it is my responsibility as a father to be the voice that they have not yet discovered and are unable to use, 2.) Because the issues I have with the things my children are and will be taught are not just MY issues, this community as a whole has very similar thoughts, feelings and ideas that I share and want to be the voice for. It's really this simple : our children are our futures and if I can have a say so in the future they grow up in, it is my duty, my responsibility as a parent and a community member to do what I can to make sure they grow up and are taught the things I/we as a collective believe to be what's best for them. The issues may be somewhat political in nature but believe me when I say, my priorities are not, my intentions are pure and my desires are those of which alot of us can get behind together.
