We had a very busy July with my return from maternity leave! Three 4H fairs, Montegomery, Hendricks and Boone
I want to say a congrats to all the kids who compete in horse and pony no matter the placings. It’s hard work and a partnership with an animal like no other at the fair.
My favorite moments involved:
-watching Beckham win costume class with an idea he came up with and his mom (as he would say) slayed, with the ex*****on
-watching Monroe, who’s been practicing hard at home, complete her Hunter Hack classes with no refusals
-seeing past student Evelyn, win Champion Mare in halter with her new pleasure horse
-tearing up seeing Hallee win Grand Champion Gelding with Windsor after his near death brush with the fence this spring
-witnessing Guinevere try a new event with Keyhole for the first time and place 2nd
-listening to both Guinevere and Hallee’s bios during versatility class
- seeing the perseverance of Bellagrace with her pony, who she believed wouldn’t place in certain classes like jumping and contesting win ribbons against the big horses
