A FAMILY TRADITION
Unsurpassed Chocolate Sauce was created by Vi Harris in the small town of Darlington, South Carolina in the mid 1960's. While her six children were in school, "Miss Vi" would visit with her neighbor, "Miss Esther", and they would chat over dessert - ice cream with chocolate sauce. "Miss Vi" decided to try her own recipe. She told "Miss Esther" she had made a sauce that was "Unsurpassed". She passed her recipe on to her children and grandchildren. Her daughter, Vi Owens, has added a little touch of her own. She continues to make this traditional Southern chocolate sauce and it remains "Unsurpassed".
