Congratulations to Alex Papaelias on being named Sixth Team All-State for the 2026 baseball season by the New York State Sportswriters Association!

Registration for Varsity Football will open on Friday, July 17th, all other JV and Varsity Fall sports registration will open on Friday, July 24th.  Modified Fall sports registration will open on Monday, August 2nd. New Paltz Well Represented on Daily Freeman All Star Team

The Daily Freeman’s 2026 Baseball All-Star Team featured an impressive showing from New Paltz, with four Huguenots earning recognition for their outstanding seasons.

🔹 Nash Byrne
Pitcher
The junior ace finished the season with a stellar 7-1 record and a 2.10 ERA, striking out 60 batters while helping lead New Paltz on the mound.

🔹 Nick Drewnowski
Infield
One of the area’s most dangerous hitters, Nick posted an incredible .538 batting average, collecting 37 hits, including seven doubles and a home run for the Huguenots.

🔹 Malcolm Dillehay
Infield
A standout shortstop, Malcolm hit .333 while recording a .950 fielding percentage. New Paltz coach Tom Tegeler called him “one of the best, if not the best shortstops in the league.”

🔹 Alex Papaelias
Outfield
The junior outfielder also earned All-Star honors after a tremendous season at the plate, helping power the Huguenot offense throughout the spring.

Congratulations to Nash, Nick, Malcolm, and Alex on being recognized among the top baseball players in the region. Your hard work has made New Paltz proud all season long!
