Two Sides, So Many S Sounds! is a 14-page bilingual (English–Spanish) picture book designed to support final /s/ articulation, phonological awareness, and plural concept development through a culturally responsive story.
The book follows Sofía, a young girl living on the border between Mexico and Texas, as she moves through her day noticing what is similar and different in both cultures. Rich illustrations and natural language allow students to hear and practice the final “quiet snake” sound (/s/) in meaningful, connected text—not isolated drills.
This resource is ideal for MTSS Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3, as well as speech therapy, bilingual classrooms, and early literacy instruction.
