🌟 Be Still Like a Chipmunk 🌟

Have you ever noticed how a chipmunk, usually busy gathering and storing, can suddenly be still? 🐿️✨ This unexpected moment reminds us of an essential virtue: Diligence.

Diligence isn’t just about busyness; it’s about careful, intentional work and giving ourselves the space to pause. In our fast-paced world, we often forget the power of being still. When we take a moment to reflect, we confront what’s hard to see amidst the chaos.

Our environment shouldn’t dictate our priorities. Instead, let’s shift our focus to what we have right now – the breath in our lungs, the ability to write, or simply the beauty outside our window. 🌿

🌟 Embrace Your True Identity! 🌟

Your true identity is rooted in who you are—your innate worth as a child of God, and titles like man or woman, mother, father, sister, or brother are important parts of your essence. You were born into these so they are inherently given. The roles we assume for a season, such as wife or husband, volunteer, or entrepreneur, are temporary. I know some people don’t like when I say spouse, but once a partner passes away, you lose that role, and it can be devastating when a spouse passes. I’m saying that when death or divorce occur, that role ends. Remember: a role doesn’t define your worth; it’s simply how you show up in the world.

Your “who”—your inherent value—should be honored. Your “what” (the roles you play) must stem from this foundation. If you don’t value your true self, you risk losing your sense of purpose. Living as a life coach, counselor, volunteer, or mentor is vital, but these roles don’t encapsulate my fullness.

When you see Love as your purpose, and it’s more than a feeling—it’s a choice and an action. It’s about choosing the highest good for yourself, even when it’s challenging. When you embrace wholeness and holiness, you live from a place of self-sovereignty.

So, reflect on this: Are you living from your true identity, or are you letting your roles define you? Fulfillment comes not from what you do but from knowing and loving who you are. 💖

🌟 Today, as I stand in my daughter’s living room, I am filled with gratitude and joy. At 55, my journey has been anything but easy—I’ve faced divorce, cancer, the loss of a child, and the wounds of abuse and betrayal. Yet here I am, smiling and embracing the beauty of the moment.

Both of my daughters are remarkable women. One is preparing for law school next year, while the other is working toward her PhD. They have both been busy, but we took the time to cherish this moment together. It serves as a reminder that no matter how heavy our burdens, joy is possible if we are willing to face ourselves and our truth.

Hold onto hope, friends! Every challenge teaches us resilience and strength. Remember, it’s never too late for transformation and healing. ❤️✨
