The Class of 2026 was welcomed into the Alumni Association at the annual Commencement Luncheon, celebrating the lifelong brotherhood shared by generations of Blue Jays.
Guest speaker John “Chick” Schoen ’63, chair of Jesuit’s National Advisory Board and a distinguished alumnus whose career and service embody the mission of Jesuit High School, encouraged graduates to live as “men for others” and to “be a ladder, not a crutch. He shared personal anecdotes and historical reflections on the origins of Jesuit education, illustrating how service, mercy, and faith remain at the heart of the Jesuit mission.

The Blue Jays captured the 2026 state Mock Trial championship this weekend in Shreveport, defeating Carencro, Haynes Academy, and defending champion Caddo Magnet to earn a spot at the National High School Mock Trial Tournament in Iowa this May.
Behind the success is a dedicated group of alumni who continue to give back to the program—moderated by Greg Ernst ’83 and guided by coaches Brett Wise ’82, Mike Mentz, Nick Mole ’01, Jordan Lacoste ’14, and John Schmidt ’18—whose leadership has long been instrumental in shaping the next generation of Blue Jays in the courtroom. The program’s continued excellence is a testament to the strength of its alumni network and the commitment to forming young men through mentorship, preparation, and service.

Thank you to Dominic Massa ’94 for his beautifully written article highlighting the recent renovations to the Chapel of the North American Martyrs. At Jesuit High School, the chapel has long stood as the spiritual heart of our campus, and this striking renovation thoughtfully elevates its historic character while renewing its sacred purpose for generations to come. Dominic’s work captures both the architectural transformation and the deep meaning the chapel continues to hold for our Jesuit community.

Join us in welcoming our newest Blue Jays.
Each year, Jesuit’s mission of forming men for others expands to include a new class of incoming students. Today these young men received their Dear Blue Jay acceptance letters and were officially welcomed into the community of students, faculty, Jesuit priests, parents, and alumni who proudly call themselves “Blue Jays.”
They are accepted into Jesuit at a historic moment — our Campus Centennial. As they begin their journey of formation, they will carry forward a proud tradition and help shape the next century of Jesuit’s story at Carrollton & Banks.
Please join us in welcoming nearly 300 new Blue Jays and their families to our community.
Send your acceptance day photos and videos to [email protected]. Tag and to showcase your Blue Jay Spirit.
