The Central Area HBCU Gap Scholarship Application Is Open!

The Central Area of The Links, Incorporated will award gap scholarships to students of our Central Area HBCUs. This one-time, small scholarship is intended to bridge the financial gap that may prevent a student from registering for classes, graduating on time or accessing their own degree. Scholarships will be a maximum of $1000; there will be a minimum of one scholarship per HBCU (as applicable); scholarships will be awarded until all funds are exhausted; decisions of the Central Area HBCU Committee are FINAL.

Central Area HBCUs: American Baptist College, Arkansas Baptist College, Bluefield State University, Central State University, Fisk University, Harris-Stowe State University, Kentucky State University, Lane College, Langston University, LeMoyne Owen College, Lincoln University Missouri, Meharry Medical College, Philander-Smith College, Tennessee State University, University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, West Virginia State University, Wilberforce University.

CRITERIA:

Students must be enrolled at one of the 17 HBCUs located in the Central Area.
Students must have exhausted all federal financial aid.
Students must provide a short, written statement detailing his/her need or hardship.
Students must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.
Only one application submission per student.

Late applications will not be accepted. DEADLINE: February 15, 2025
