This is usually not our lane, but this will affect senior students' abilities to receive athletic scholarships. We are not saying that these students are not being awarded academic scholarships. But, this happening may ultimately prevent some from attending college or university unless they choose to drown in debt through student aid loans. We must enforce, push, and stress to our youth, STUDENT first, because academic scholarships are attainable, then athlete. This high achieving academic habit begins in elementary school. Let's begin to raise the bar in the classrooms, then the gym.

Prayers and well wishes to those youth affected by this unfortunate situation that they did not cause.

Fail, fail, fail!

What affects will this have on our young learners? This results in upwards of 16,000 seats of learners who may not attend early childcare which puts that learner at a serious disadvantage and behind in the educational arena.

Louisiana law makers are voting to cut funding that supports early childhood education? This has a direct affect on the low literacy rates that many youth in Louisiana experience and will add to the potential number of youth retained in 3rd grade beginning in 2025.

It's been a minute since we've posted, but we are available because the need is still here. We must began to prioritize the education of our youth because plans are in place to further add to the roadblocks they will face.

Developing Minds Tutoring and Mentoring Services can begin Summer bridge English Language Art, reading, and writing tutoring sessions for your youth.

Third graders in Louisiana would be required to pass a state reading test to advance to fourth grade under legislation given final passage on Monday.

There is an African proverb that states,

"Many hands make light work."

I am seeking assistance from my community and the followers of Developing Minds Tutoring and Mentoring Services. We would like to gift a few students with a bookbag filled with school supplies for the upcoming school year. I will be seeing up a Go Fund Me Page for this very purpose. I am asking that each share out this project to as many people as possible I am also requesting that you reveal that this fund seeks find success through many only donating $5.

If at least 200 individuals donate $5. each, that's $1000. that we can use donate to help students who walk in the classroom with nothing because they can't afford it. Of course, the more to donate the better we can do to help. Please donate and share.
