👇🏼The 3 Steps To Change This

First, someone won’t buy from you if you also don’t believe you have enough time, money or deserve to invest in yourself.

So what do you have to do to change that?

➡️ Know that traditional business practices aren’t going to work on dancers

➡️ Address YOUR scarcity mindset first

➡️ Learn the skills to talk with dancers via their mindsets and help them work through those barriers

These steps aren’t simple but can be transformational in your business (and life).

Where can you achieve all these steps?

in the Dance CEO Society!

This community of like-minded peers get it, and believe there’s room for all of us.

Doors are opening soon!

It’s easy to put yourself last… but what happens when you always stay there?

You’re running a dance business you love—yet your days are packed with classes, admin, rehearsals, emails, and everyone else’s needs. By the time you finally stop, there’s nothing left for you.

The tricky part? It doesn’t feel “bad enough” to change… until the exhaustion, brain fog, and resentment quietly start to build. You look at your schedule and think, “There’s just no way to fit me in.”

Here’s the truth: a schedule reset won’t magically fix everything in your life or business. But in just 3 days, it can give you something powerful back—your time, your energy, and your sense of control over your day.

That’s exactly why I created Dance CEO Balance: The 3-Day Schedule Reset for overworked dance business owners who are ready to stop treating themselves like an afterthought and finally move up their own to-do list.

If you’re tired of always being last on your list and you’re ready to start shifting that (without burning your studio to the ground and starting over)… this challenge is your first step.

This past decade was filled with moments most people didn’t see.

If you've been with me for awhile, I did share a fair amount but not all of it.

Here's a very brief list of a few things I experienced in my 30's:

➡️ Divorce, single motherhood, and starting over from scratch
➡️ Starting a virtual dance business
➡️ Reinventing my business — and myself — more than once
➡️ Burnout behind the “success”
➡️ Getting diagnosed with ADHD and autism and finally feeling seen
➡️ Learning how to lead, heal, and build at the same time
➡️ Being homeless for a season
➡️ Learning to release what no longer served me so I could build the life I have now

I didn’t glide into 40.
I crawled through parts of it.
I questioned myself, my purpose, my pace.

But I also softened.
I found clarity.
And I built a life — and two businesses — that are actually aligned and come with ease.

If you’re in a challenging season of life and wondering if it ever gets easier...
It gets clearer.

And that clarity?
It becomes your power.

📌 Save this if you’re struggling through a hard season — you’re not behind, you’re becoming.

💬 Tell me below: what’s something you've learned in your difficult season?

These lies sound like truth—until you start burning out.

Let’s unpack 5 myths I see too many dance business owners believing:

“I have to say yes to everything or I’ll miss opportunities.”
Nope. Boundaries create clarity, focus, and aligned growth.

“If I’m not constantly working, I’m falling behind.”
Working more isn’t the same as working well. Rest fuels results.

“I shouldn’t invest in myself until things slow down.”
Things don’t slow down until you do. You are the most important part of your business.

“It’s selfish to prioritize my needs.”
It’s strategic. Your business reflects how well you’re doing.

“Money and art don’t mix.”
They can—and should. Abundance fuels sustainability and impact.

You weren’t meant to build your dream by burning out.

It’s time to rewrite the story.

Save this post for the days you forget what’s true.

But I didn't always believe this.

I used to buy into the scarcity mindset of the dance world aka starving artist mentality. That you have to work really hard for a little but of recognition and there isn't much money to go around.

But it was my divorce in 2018 that changed everything for me and led me to who I am today and this business I run to serve you.

I had just stepped into part-time single motherhood. My life felt like a blank canvas—and honestly, that was terrifying.

I sat in a Starbucks one night, journal in hand, praying for direction. That’s when it came to me—clear and strong: “Start a virtual dance business.”

It didn’t make sense. Teaching dance online wasn’t a thing back then.

But it lit me up in a way I couldn’t deny and checked all the boxes of things I needed as a single mom.

That same night, I googled how to start a business in Louisiana.

I didn’t have a mentor. I didn’t have a business degree.

A few months later, I did have my first client. And it's continued from there.

When COVID hit, I became an instant resource, helping other business owners move their businesses online overnight to stay open.

That was my unexpected pivot into becoming a coach for the dance community. Growing into what I do today.

That first spark turned into a full business—coaching dance entrepreneurs to lead from the inside out.

What would happen if you listened to the nudge you keep ignoring?

Because it takes just one action to move you into places you can't even imagine.

📌 Comment "ready" to start on the path to living.
