Tutu School in New Orleans offers ballet for kids 6 months to 8 years.

Tutu School is a boutique-style ballet school that caters specifically to children 6 months to 8 years-old. Our mission is simple: We believe that exposing children at the earliest possible age to creativity, movement, and classical music will only serve them well in whatever they choose to do with their lives, that dancing like swans and Sugar Plum Fairies not only exercises little bodies but also nurtures big imaginations, and that twirling should be a fundamental part of any childhood.

Our Ballet Book Club is reading “The Polar Bear and the Ballerina” by Eric Velasquez, this September!
❄️Preview: A story about an unlikely friendship between a young ballerina and a polar bear who journeys through New York City to return her scarf and see her dance!

As a part of our curriculum for 5-8 year olds, we focus on teaching dancers the technique, and meaning behind a new ballet step each month 🩰 This encourages dancers to learn more advanced skills within the ballet craft, all while keeping the magic of ballet alive.✨
