Student Advocates for Gender Equality was founded with the purpose of breaking down gender stereotypes and social expectations. Tulane Students Welcome!

We focus on
topics related to men, women, and non-binary conforming expressions of gender because we realize that without cooperation among all people, there can be no progress. For instance, we would like to encourage women into the STEM fields while simultaneously eradicating taboos around the idea of a stay-at-home dad. "The Women's Resource Center at Loyola University New Orleans is organizing a Feminist Festival from March 1-11. As part of the festival, they are working with Women in Film and Television (WiFT) to bring the Loyola-NOLA Feminist Short Film Festival to Loyola on March 5 and 6. The film festival includes a student showcase, a WiFT show case, and an open submissions showcase of original films in the last three years in which women play key roles.
