We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of you that came out to pay your final respects to Mr. Montgomery at his wake and funeral this past week. The outpouring love and kind words have been profound. The impact that he’s had on so many lives is immeasurable. We hope you can hold all of your memories of him near and dear to your heart. His legacy will live on in each one of us forever. May he rest in eternal peace. Fly high, eagle. Fly high.

Many of us only got to see Mr. Montgomery’s
“strictly business” personality. We would like to share with you a slide show of some heartwarming memories over the years. His voice, his smile and that laugh will surely never be forgotten. As he always said, “There is a time to work, a time to play, and a time to rest.”

Due to the unforeseen, hazardous weather conditions, the services for MJ Montgomery will be postponed until next week. We know people are traveling from afar and we do apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused. News stations are advising people to stay off of the roads today and tomorrow in the very least. Our wishes are to honor him and be able to provide the service that he deserves. We will keep everyone updated when we have a firm date. Thank You.

There WILL be a service for Mr. Montgomery. The service will be the week of January 19th at Leitz Eagan in Metairie. Details (exact date & time) will be posted in the next couple of days. The outpouring love, heartfelt comments and memories of him that have been posted by you all, are incredible. Thank you, again for your prayers and kind words at this difficult time.

Dear RPS Friends & Family,

It is with a heavy heart that we write this post. Sadly, our beloved Mr. Montgomery has passed away. We know that he has touched many lives and we are very sorry to have to break this news. He will be missed by many. We will let everyone know once the funeral arrangements have been made.

Ridgewood’s Junior-Senior Prom was a lovely night under the stars with friends, dancing and fun. We would like to thank Erin Steen and Compass Point Events for hosting the prom for these youngsters. Without Ms Steen and all of the alumni who have made generous donations, this memorable night would not have been possible. We thank all of you and sincerely appreciate it.

The Ridgewood Golden Eagle spirit was in full effect Saturday night! Forever Eagle Celebration was a huge success!! The decorations were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the company was even better! We have to give a big thanks to all of the people that have spent so many hours volunteering their time to make this event very special for all. Hats off to all of you! It is greatly appreciated! It would not have been possible without all of you. And last but not least, we would like to remember the man who was the main drive of this whole get together, Mr. Montgomery. He was not able to attend but we know he was there in spirit and would be extremely pleased with the way things turned out. That night, the main building was dedicated to him. Montgomery Hall it is!
