From festive outfits all week long to our cozy Snuggle Up & Read event, our school was full of smiles, school spirit, and a love for reading! ❄️

Our scholars showed off their creativity during Festive Attire Week, then wrapped up the fun by grabbing a book, getting cozy, and enjoying special reading time with friends and staff.

Moments like these remind us that learning can be both meaningful and fun! 💚💛

Security Gate Notice/Updated Traffic low and Driveline Notification

We are excited to share important updates that will enhance the safety and efficiency of our campus operations. This new system will begin around January 20, 2026.

➡️ Campus Security Gates

In the coming weeks, security gates will be installed on campus. These gates will remain closed during school hours.

Parents and visitors must use the call box at the main entrance to be buzzed in by the front office.

This measure ensures controlled access and a secure environment for students and staff.

➡️ Updated Traffic Flow & Driveline Procedures

To improve safety and traffic efficiency, we are implementing a new plan:

One-Way Traffic Flow

All driveline traffic will move in one direction to prevent congestion and collisions.

Bus Lane Usage

Morning Arrival: 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM

Afternoon Dismissal: 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM

During these times, school buses will use Orange Lane.

Parent Lane Usage

Parents must use Green Lane (closest to the school building) during bus arrival and dismissal.

** Do not use Orange Lane between 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM and 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM, as it is reserved for buses during these times.

➡️ Additional Parent Guidance:

Parents may pull up to the beginning of the driveline lane in front of the school, just before the bus driver/playground driveway, and wait for students to be dismissed (indicated by the red loading/unloading zone in front of the school).

Parents checking students out early or visiting the front office should enter via the main entrance and turn left into the school parking lot.

Westside Drive is not an access point for the driveline. The City of Gretna has placed No Parking signs along Westside Drive and will issue tickets to violators.

Please follow posted signs and avoid stopping in the three designated “Do Not Stop” zones to allow buses to maneuver safely.

Gate Operation Schedule

Gates will automatically open during arrival and dismissal times for smooth traffic flow.

Reminder: All student check-outs end daily at 2:30 PM.

We are anticipating initiating the new procedure after Winter Break.

"My name's Trang. I came from Vietnam 2 years ago, and my child, Minh Lam Phan, is now in 1st grade with Ms. Cotton at Athlos Academy. He is so excited to go to school every day.

Before Athlos, he attended Terrytown Academy for pre-K and then Johnson Gretna Park Public School for his kindergarten.

I feel that I'm so lucky that he can attend Athlos Academy. He loves to go to school and every afternoon, the bus lets him go back to my office so that I can drive him back home at any suitable time!
