“The Bench: Tulane’s Legal Magazine” distributed publications from 1984 to 1987. It welcomed and included contributions from all members of the Tulane Law Community, including rather scandalous opinions of professors and campus happenings.

Our Library Aides recommend you check out Louisiana Law from our Louisiana Collection! They wrote:
"Just finished Louisiana Law Legends and Laughs by Frank Maraist and Henry Politz, and I absolutely loved it! Crazy thing is: I’m not even a Law student! The stories inside this book are hilarious, heartfelt, and full of personality. Read this book and enjoy the charm and wit of Louisiana’s legal legends. Highly recommend for anyone who loves good story telling with a Southern twist!"

Our Library Aides recommend you check out Deep Delta Justice by Matthew Van Meter and wrote the following:
"In 1966 in a small town in Louisiana, a 19-year-old black man named Gary Duncan pulled his car off the road to stop a fight. Duncan was arrested a few minutes later for the crime of putting his hand on the arm of a white child. Using first-person interviews, in-depth research, and a deep knowledge of the law, Van Meter shows how Gary Duncan’s insistence on seeking justice empowered generations of defendants – disproportionately poor and black – to demand fair trials."
