What an incredible honor it was to serve as a guest speaker for the 72nd Annual Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated – South Central Region Teen Leadership Conference! ❤️💙
Thank you, Christie Massie, for inviting me to be part of such an inspiring experience and for trusting me to share my passion with the next generation of leaders. As you said so beautifully, “Relationships are the new currency,” and I am grateful that our relationship created an opportunity to pour into the lives of these remarkable young people.
Through my Black Culinary Legacy Experience, we explored the history behind Creole Shrimp & Grits, discovering how food connects us to our ancestors, preserves our culture, and tells the stories that have shaped America. It was inspiring to see so many bright young minds engaged, asking questions, and embracing the rich legacy of Black culinary excellence.
To every teen who attended, thank you for your curiosity, your enthusiasm, and your willingness to learn. You are our future leaders, and I have no doubt you will continue to make a lasting impact on your communities.
Thank you again to Christie Massie and the entire Jack and Jill of America, South Central Region leadership team for your vision, your hospitality, and your commitment to investing in our youth. It was truly a privilege to stand alongside such an incredible group of speakers and educators.
