Check out our feature on the Loyno SCD’s page!

It’s and our organization spotlight for the week is Loyola’s chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Here’s a mission statement from the organization:

“NABJ-LOYNO’s goal is to create a safe space for all journalism students, especially for student journalists of color whose voices are often diminished by others at predominantly white institutions. We focus on uplifting all voices to be heard and creating journalism students’ opportunities to succeed in their future careers. Though we are a newly established organization, we believe if we can help uplift at least one person, we create a better space for student journalists at Loyola University New Orleans and in the community.”

Stay up to date with Loyola’s NABJ chapter by following them at NABJ-LOYNO on Facebook and on Instagram!
