Community Education Project of New Orleans

Nurturing the movement for education justice through grassroots organizing, transformative workshops, and collaborative events.

We first came together as a group of four in the spring of 2012 to plan a forum called Zooming Out: Teaching in Context, a day-long event that engaged new teachers in dialogue about the political, social and historical context of the current school landscape. We plan to establish CEPNO as an umbrella for our many, varied yet cohesive efforts to coordinate and nurture the education justice movement in New Orleans.
