The Communication Studies major focuses on the pervasive role of communication in a changing global society. It bridges boundaries among interpersonal, group, and public communication through the exploration and analysis of diverse communication skills. And it is no secret that communication skills a highly sought after in the workplace. If you have a major or a minor in Communication Studies then you are one step ahead of the competition when interviewing for jobs!

We are so proud of Ember, one of our Communication Studies majors!!

Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of working with our intern, Ember T. from Hastings College, and what an impact she’s made!

Ember has supported nearly every corner of the Museum, from assisting with events and helping build exhibits to indexing and cataloging collections, conducting research, and learning how to support marketing through writing social media captions and editing videos. Her curiosity, dedication, and willingness to jump in wherever needed have truly made a difference!

We are grateful for Ember’s time with us and her interest in the Hastings Museum. Please join us in wishing her all the best as she approaches graduation and takes her next steps! We can’t wait to see where she goes next.
