Nyansa Classical Community Introduction
10/10/2016
This Saturday come out to contemplate and discuss cultivating goodness in the 6 dimensions of school life: environment, community, governance, curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment. We will also discuss how to cultivate goodness through classical arts of learning: the seven liberating arts, commonplacing, narration, etc.
Let's discuss this quote and share ideas on bringing goodness into our children's educations and hearts.
"My point is not that everyone must have a classical education, but that classical education is an education that allows one to order his life to the best and highest goods, because it gives one the principles in the light of which such an order is possible." Laura Berquist

Once your kids can read easy books, start reading them hard ones
"Being read to from books that are more complex than they can read on their own prepares them for the gatekeeper task: understanding difficult ideas and complex texts."
