From research to real-life role play… our 5th graders brought history to life at the Hall of States!
Since the end of January, students have been diving deep into their assigned states, researching a famous figure, learning fun facts, and writing autobiographies from that person’s perspective.
Last week, they took the stage to share it all with our school community! Dressed as their chosen icons, from Johnny Depp to Clara Barton, each student became their character and told their story in such a creative and engaging way.
And it didn’t stop there… they also brought a taste of their state to share, making this a full-on learning (and tasting!) experience!
We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and confidence. They truly knocked it out of the park!

Our 8th graders took learning beyond the classroom on an unforgettable Civil Rights journey to Memphis.
From walking through history at the National Civil Rights Museum to exploring the rich musical legacy at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, students experienced the heart and soul of Memphis. They also enjoyed some of the city’s famous BBQ—because no trip to Memphis is complete without it!
This trip wasn’t just about history; it was about connection, culture, and inspiring the next generation to make a difference.

Our Kindergarteners stole the show last week!
Families joined us for a special assembly filled with sweet songs, big smiles, and so much confidence from our young Panthers. After the performance, parents were treated to a cozy breakfast with their favorite kindergartener, because mornings like this are what it’s all about.
Thank you to our amazing teachers and families for making it so special!

Our 3rd graders wrapped up their Human Body unit in the most hands-on way—by diving into a pig dissection!
With curiosity, courage, and lots of “wow” moments, students explored real-life anatomy and made meaningful connections to everything they’ve been learning in class. We were especially grateful to have parents join us—your support and willingness to jump right in made the experience even more special!
Learning truly comes to life when students can see, touch, and explore—and this was a day they won’t forget!

A Hoot of a Science Lesson!
Our First Graders turned into little scientists as they dissected owl pellets this week! Inside each pellet, students discovered the tiny bones of animals that owls eat, learning firsthand about food chains, predator and prey relationships, and how owls survive in the wild.
With tweezers in hand and curiosity leading the way, students carefully sorted through their findings and identified the bones they uncovered. It was equal parts fascinating, surprising, and a little messy — the perfect recipe for hands-on learning!
Experiences like this bring science to life and show our students that discovery can happen right at their desks.
