🤖 Innovation, creativity, and problem-solving were on full display at our Early Tech Camp!

Campers spent the week exploring the world of coding and engineering through hands-on projects and challenges. Using Sphero Mini robots, they learned block coding and programmed their robots to navigate obstacle courses that they designed and built themselves!

Additionally, a few of our Holy Cross High School Students had the opportunity to work alongside campers, while working on an exciting 3D printing project.

The numbers only tell part of the story.

Behind every statistic is a student who has worked hard, served others, competed, led, created, learned, and left their mark on Holy Cross. The Class of 2026 has achieved remarkable things during their time here, and we are proud of all they have accomplished.

Congratulations, Tigers. Although massively impressive, your legacy is more than numbers, it’s the impact you’ve made on our Holy Cross Faith Community and the bright future that lies ahead!🐯🎓

What a great week at our Holy Cross Football Summer Camp! 🏈

Campers spent the week learning new skills, sharpening fundamentals, competing in drills, and putting their training to the test in scrimmages. Most importantly, they had the opportunity to learn directly from our coaching staff while building confidence, making friends, and having a lot of fun along the way.

Thank you to all of the campers who joined us last week. We loved having you on campus and can’t wait to see you back on the field soon!

For the 6th consecutive year, both our Primary and Middle Schools have been recognized as Distinguished Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Schools!

This national recognition highlights our commitment to providing exceptional STEM education through PLTW Launch (K–5) and PLTW Gateway (6–7), where students engage in hands-on, project-based learning that develops creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving skills.

This year alone, our students tackled incredible challenges:
🔬 Kindergarten students designed and tested casts to help a friend with a broken wrist.
🌊 3rd graders built flood-resistant house models.
🎥 4th graders produced and recorded natural disaster newscasts using green screen technology.
🧠 7th graders labeled and dissected sheep brains to explore neuroscience.
💨 6th graders designed and built windmills capable of lifting weights.

These projects are just a glimpse of the innovation happening in our classrooms every day. We are proud to continue setting the standard for STEM education and preparing students with the skills, confidence, and curiosity needed for the future!

Yesterday afternoon, our Holy Cross Educators stepped deeper into the story that shapes our mission. As part of our Mission Propagation initiative, we spent time reconnecting with the roots of Holy Cross, a mission begun by Blessed Fr. Basil Moreau in 1837 in Sainte-Croix, France, and carried to New Orleans through faith, sacrifice, education, and hope.

We visited three historic Holy Cross sites that are woven into both our congregation’s history and the story of New Orleans itself: The site of St. Mary’s Orphanage. The Academy of the Holy Angels, and the former Holy Cross campus at 4950 Dauphine Street.

What began in New Orleans in 1849 as a mission to care for orphaned children during epidemics, poverty, and hardship became a lasting legacy of forming hearts and minds. Through yellow fever outbreaks, war, floods, Hurricane Katrina, and generations of change, the men and women of Holy Cross remained faithful to the mission, to educate, to serve, and to bring hope.

One of the most impactful moments of the day was hearing Football Head Coach Scott Wattigny ’05 share memories from his years at the old Holy Cross campus. From 5th grade through senior year, those halls shaped him, and after graduating, Hurricane Katrina took that campus away before he ever had the chance to return. Standing there as Holy Cross Educators, some with lifelong memories of 4950 and others visiting for the very first time, we could all feel what made that place sacred: the brotherhood, the tradition, the spirit, and the mission of forming boys into men.

The buildings may change, but the mission remains the same.

“A glorified past, a promising future.”

One of the greatest traditions of Holy Cross School is not found in a building, a trophy case, or a classroom, it’s found in generations of families who continue to call this place home.

These legacy graduates took the same path as their fathers, grandfathers, and relatives before them, carrying on a brotherhood and tradition that stretches far beyond graduation day. What an honor it is to step into the footsteps of the Holy Cross Men who came before you and discover for yourself what it truly means to be a Holy Cross Man.

To the Class of 2026, congratulations once again. We are proud to now welcome you into the alumni community, and we pray that one day each of you will continue this tradition with your own families for generations to come.

Recently, we celebrated our 7th Grade Pinning & Promotion Ceremony as these young Holy Cross Men officially completed their middle school journey and took the next step toward becoming Holy Cross high schoolers. Following a beautiful Mass, students were recognized for their hard work and dedication as they received their promotion certificates and reflected on the memories, brotherhood, and growth of their middle school years.

The evening also included the presentation of scholarships and special awards, celebrating the bright future ahead for this class.

7th graders, we are so proud of the young Holy Cross Men you are becoming and could not be more excited to watch you step into this next chapter as the future leaders of Holy Cross. Congratulations on this milestone, your journey is only beginning!
