I get it. New tools are dropping every hour, and the “block” button feels like the safest place to hide. But here’s the thing: students and staff are already using AI on their personal devices. Banning it on campus just creates a “Shadow AI” culture where nobody is talking about safety, ethics, or privacy. 🕵️‍♂️

Instead of playing catch-up, let’s get proactively smart. If you’re staring at a blank page trying to write an AI policy, try this:
🎯 Align with your Mission: Your AI rules should look like your school. A STEM academy and a Montessori school shouldn’t have the same policy.🧩 Solve a “Hair-on-Fire” Problem: Don’t use AI because it’s shiny. Use it to fix teacher burnout or grading bottlenecks.
