JEFFERSON PARISH SCHOOLS TO LAUNCH NEW INNOVATIVE MIDDLE SCHOOL ACCELERATION PROGRAM

The safety of students and employees is our top priority. Jefferson Parish Schools is canceling all after-school activities for March 30, 2022 due to the forecast of severe weather. This includes child care, practices, middle school athletics, tutoring, meetings, etc. School dismissal and bus transportation home will operate on a normal schedule.

Regular in-person instruction and normal operations will take place as scheduled on Friday, January 21. After consulting with Parish Emergency Operations, it has been determined that the cold temperatures expected will not cause hazardous road conditions. Should there be additional weather updates, we will share those directly with families through text message, employees through their JP Schools email, and with the community through jpschools.org and the district’s official social media channels.
