AIG at ASA 2025! Weekend filled with presentations, networking and getting free swag! Shoutout to , and for presenting their projects! Good work team, see you next year !

AIG members providing Narcan training to high school students at Jesuit High School here in New Orleans! We were able to discuss with students the signs of drug overdose, what Narcan is, how to properly use it and we distributed free kits to students. This is part of AIG’s initiative to bring awareness to drug overdose and the importance of Narcan. We have given a few talks with our community and have distributed kits to those who attend these events. Shout out to the New Orleans Opioid Taskforce at the Health Department for providing us with these Narcan kits and to who took these amazing pictures!

Our AIG hosted an IV cannulation and venipuncture workshop for students yesterday, hosted by our Director of Professional Development Rachel and our Faculty Advisor Dr. Bond! Students had the chance to learn and practice their skills at our Ochsner Sim Center and even try using ultrasound machines! 💉💉

AIG at LSA Conference this weekend! We had the opportunity to meet and listen to experts in the field and learn about new research in Anesthesia! Shoutout to all the students who presented their projects and many thanks to everyone who made this happen!

We had so much fun volunteering at the Black Health Summit at Crescent Care today! Our AIG assisted in medical screening, preventative testing, education, and resource distribution! Looking forward to more events this year!

Our AIG joined the Ochsner anesthesiology residents for an afternoon of volunteering at the Second Harvest Food Bank to build food boxes for senior citizens and community members facing food insecurity!
