Beliefs, their formation, their impact, and working with them, have always been one of my favorite things to learn and teach about.
As I move through some transitions in my life, and I step more fully into my role as life coach and Kundalini yoga teacher, I feel this pull to start teaching more about thisโฆ about your stories, your wiring, your patterns, and how so much of what you do (and donโt do) is rooted in old beliefs you may not even know youโre carrying.

My fertility journey shifted the moment I realized ๐ ๐ฐ๐๐ฌ โ๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ โ ๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐. โฃ

The doctor couldnโt explain to me why I wasnโt getting pregnant, so I was walking around day in and day out questioning what was wrong? Why was it not happening? What more could I be doing to get pregnant? ๐ ๐ฐ๐๐ฌ ๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐. I was over-working, over-stressing and doing exactly the opposite of someone who would already be pregnant.โฃ

My mentor said to me, โif you do not have it in your life, it is because you are not already BEing the kind of person who could have it.โ โฃ

Did you know that when you slow down your brainwaves and focus on the images and emotions that you want, you are speaking the language of the subconscious mind, and you can start to program yourself with what you want? ๐ฏโ

Today, I am sharing an approach that I learned, which is a combination of what I had learned in my life coach training, as well as what I had learned from my mentor, .โ

My approach to tricking my subconscious mind into believing that I was already pregnant was to communicate with it in the way it best communicates - through repetitive visual images with high emotional intensity.โ
โ
โจ I would slow down my brainwaves and allow myself to get through to my subconscious mind by clearing my mind and taking deep, slow breaths. You see, when you are in theta and/or alpha brainwave state, you slow down the brainwaves, and the left analytical part of the brain takes a break, so you donโt have that part of the brain sabotaging your efforts with negative talk.โ

โจ What I realized was that I could make my subconscious mind believe that I was pregnant already by seeing visual images in my mind of myself being pregnant. I could feel the emotions I had previously felt when I was pregnant (happy, elated, excited, grateful) and even see images of me from my first pregnancy, doing fertility yoga, and walking in the park with a big belly. If I did that over and over, the subconscious mind would have to think I was pregnant. I was determined.โ

Stopping to enjoy a sunrise used to be a challenge for me. I was a do'er, constantly thinking "what should I be doing now?"โ

That was not my fertile being. That is someone stressed out, anxious, over-performing, over-perfecting, mind-racing, what next, what now. โ
โ
One of the things my fertility journey taught me was to SOFTEN. To stop, look around, enjoy the beauty that constantly surrounds us. To be grateful for what I have in my life right now. โ

โ On this day, I was in Dothan, Alabama at my husband's home, and I REALLY saw the sun set. I was on my fertility journey, but I remember sitting and staring at it thinking I am grateful for exactly this moment, and that is it, that is enough. โ

Part of my method for getting pregnant after the doctor's diagnosed me with unexplained infertility and told me IVF was my next step, was to trick my body and mind into thinking I was already pregnant. Here is the formula I used to reprogram my mind into being a fertile, already pregnant woman. โ

I am convinced my body and mind thought I was pregnant before I was until the day I actually was. โ

I'll never forget my first thought when I found out I was pregnant, "Well, of course I am. I knew it." And then pure elation, but I knew it was coming. ๐โ
