Good morning, fellow Rummel Raiders of the great Class of 1978! We are less than three weeks out from our 45th Reunion.

To date we have 14 of our classmates registered for this great event. Please plan to be there! We would love to catch up and see where life has taken each of us. If you think back to our graduation, our class had tremendous potential to change the world. It would be great to see how far we've come.

The reunion is taking place from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Saturday, May 20th at Harbor Bar & Grill located at 3021 17th Street off of Causeway Blvd. in Metairie.

In order that we may have enough food for the event, we will need a relatively accurate count of those who will be in attendance. Please go to https://www.rummelalumni.com/reunions to register. Some of us will take our wives/spouses/significant others. Cost is $40 per person or $75 per couple and includes food, beer, wine, and well liquor. Such a bargain!!!

Hey, guys. Our fellow classmate, Bob Schroeder, is having heart valve surgery today. Let’s all keep Bob and his surgical team in our prayers today.

Dear Classmates of 1978:

Kyle and I have been planning the festivities for our 45th Reunion.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM. The venue will be the Harbor Bar & Grill located at 3024 17th Street off Causeway Blvd. in Metairie. Some of you may recall that this was the location of the old BJ's (named after Brother John) where we often shared a few beers back in the day.

There will be ample food (sandwiches, mini po-boys, muffulettas, chicken drumettes, jambalaya, chicken andouille gumbo, plus much more), an open bar (until our tab runs out) and plenty of room both inside and outside for socializing. There is ample parking in the flat lot across the street.

While our 40th reunion in 2018 was well attended, we would like to see even more "old" faces this go round. We are sending this notice to all graduates of 1978 using the last emails Rummel has on record, which understandably is not always accurate. We would like to further ask that each of you reach out to any classmate(s) you may still be in contact with to facilitate spreading the word to as many people as possible.

While it is unfathomable that we graduated 45 years ago this May, it is true!

We will celebrate our years at Rummel this May with a reunion on Rummel's campus. Kyle Boudreau and I (Mitchell R. Landry) are working on the details, which we will post soon.

We wanted to put this event on your radar so that those of us who live out of town can start making plans to attend.

We are looking forward to this celebration! Our 40th reunion was fantastic.
