Fabracadabra

At 3pm today, the Amorphophallus titanum at San Diego Botanic Garden opened its bloom!! Biggest flower in the world! (Named the co**se flower because of the rancid smell of the flowers that attracts the carcass-eating insects that pollinate it.)
Most of these plants take 7-10 years to first bloom, Then after the 1st bloom every 4-5 years thereafter. The fully opened bloom lasts around 48 hours. This one is 14 years old & last bloomed in 2018. Native to Sumatra.

Sorry to say that all the scheduled Fabracadabra events are cancelled until further notice. Sorry also that I have not been communicating well lately. Hopefully by June I will be ready to rebook and enjoy marbling with you in the summer SUN!!

My marbleized scarfs are now available for sale at the Holiday Gift event at the Brookfield Craft Center ( hours posted). Located on Rt 25. Go take a look and remember you or your group, business or club can have your own event and "Do-It-Yourself"!!

The two scheduled events at the Brookfield Craft Center this week will not be running. But look for pix of Fabracadabra's scarfs in the Centers gift shop--coming this week!

We had a wonderful time at this class at New Milford HS last week. Such a great group of women all creating super marbled scarfs! Next semester I hope to do two sessions!
