🧠🌱 What happens in early childhood matters for a lifetime.

If you are a parent, grandparent, caregiver, or early childhood educator, I encourage you to check out the Reimagine Childhood podcast from the Early Childhood Christian Network.

Their newest episode, “Sensory Integration & Balanced Brain Development,” explores how young children’s brains develop and how everyday experiences—movement, outdoor play, connection, sensory experiences, stress, screens, and opportunities to slow down—can influence development and regulation.

One of the things we hope to continue sharing through Nurturing Little Seeds Family Resource Center is just how important the early years are. Children don't need childhood to be rushed. They need opportunities to play, move, explore, connect, wonder, and feel safe and loved. 💛

When we better understand early brain development, we can begin looking at children's behavior differently and become more intentional about the environments and experiences we provide.

Families in Waupaca County have something worth celebrating — we have so many great child care options and dedicated early childhood professionals serving children across our communities!

From family child care providers and child care centers to preschool and school-age programs, each program brings something unique to the families they serve.

One of the things we appreciate most about early childhood education in our county is the opportunity to collaborate rather than compete. We share resources, support one another, learn from each other, and work together toward the same goal:

🌿 Introducing REST & WONDER 🌿

Adventure doesn’t have to be far away.

Sometimes it’s a walk after dinner, skipping rocks at the lake, watching the clouds, finding a caterpillar, visiting a new park, or simply slowing down long enough to notice what’s around us. 💛

Rest & Wonder is a new initiative from Nurturing Little Seeds Family Resource Center encouraging families to put down the screens, step outside, slow down, and reconnect—with nature and with each other.

And what better place to start than right here in Waupaca County?
