Providence Catholic Football

10/11/2026

Another solid group of Future Celtic shadows on campus! These guys aren’t just football players - they’re wrestlers, baseball players, basketball players, and track athletes, too.

They spent the day checking out classes, meeting teachers and coaches, touring campus, and seeing what Providence Catholic has to offer both on and off the field. They ended their day hearing from PC teacher and Head Boys Cross Country Coach and CCL Hall of Famer, Coach Cogs, about the benefits of running track/cross country and playing football.

Want to see what PC is all about? We’ve got more Shadow Days coming up. Head to our website to sign up.

Getting it done on the field and in the classroom! Shoutout to sophomore football player and track team member Ben Rodriguez (and his classmates) for earning September Student of the Month honors in Science. Ben is putting in the work beyond the gridiron and showing what it means to be a Celtic Football player.

Hard work, discipline and character don’t stop when the pads come off. Proud of you, Ben! Keep putting in the work!

Proud of junior Joey O’Gorman for representing Celtic Football at yesterday’s Junior Recognition Mass, where he read the General Intercessions. We ask our players to be leaders in the classroom, on the field and in their faith. Joey represented our program well and showed what it means to be a Celtic.

Faith. Leadership. Brotherhood.

Great having some of our future Celtics on campus for Super Celtic Shadow Day last Friday! These guys spent the day getting a feel for Providence, meeting teachers and coaches, and seeing what it means to be part of the Celtic community. Here’s most of the football shadow group together before the assembly. One thing we like to see - nearly every one of these guys is a multi-sport athlete, competing in wrestling, track, basketball, volleyball and more. Great group of young men. If you missed Super Celtic Shadow Day, no worries. Check out the website for upcoming Shadow days open to all students.

Before heading to pasta dinner tonight, the boys stopped by the Girls Volleyball Senior Night to support their classmates and fellow Celtics. Different teams. Same school. Same family. Celtics show up for Celtics!
