Trafficking doesn’t always look like we imagine. Sometimes, it starts with a follow, a direct message, or someone online who seems to understand. Traffickers can use social media to build trust, promise love or opportunity, and exploit that connection. Behind a friendly profile, intentions may be very different.

🚨 381 Buyers of Live-Stream Child Sexual Abuse Identified in Historic U.S. Operation

In a coordinated effort led by our partners at Child Rescue Coalition and Homeland Security Investigations, 100 law enforcement officers from 60 police organizations came together to identify and investigate offenders involved in the live-stream sexual abuse of children.

This was the first operation of its kind in the United States and the largest live-stream operation ever held! During the week-long training and operational sprint in Florida, they reviewed 3,000+ leads and 40,000 media files. They identified 381 offenders across all 50 states, one U.S. territory, and five countries.

These offenders are from developed countries, like the United States, who prey on vulnerable children in developing countries, and a single offender can victimize hundreds of children from across the globe.

We are grateful for the investigators, analysts, and partners who continue to work tirelessly to identify offenders, protect vulnerable children, and pursue justice!
