13th Annual Yale Festival of New Italian Cinema starts on Thursday!!!

This Saturday come meet one of Italy's most popular directors! Pierfrancesco Diliberto (also known as Pif) will be on campus for a screening of his latest film and a Q&A session afterwards. There will be English subtitles and it's free, so come and bring friends and family (perfect for Family Weekend)!!

This Friday, join the Italian Department for their Annual Fall Feast!

The Italian Department wanted us to share their event with you all...Mondays from 2:30-3:30 you can play Italian Scrabble in the department! It's a really fun way to practice your language skills!

Something not to miss this semester is the Italian Department's new film series: Thursday nights starting February 2nd you can come to screenings of some really great Italian films. Come join the Italian Department for a Pizzata tomorrow at 12! Eat pizza and learn more about the Summer in Siena Program (some basic info below) :)

Summer in Siena
Introductory or Intermediate Italian in Siena, Italy with Yale Study Abroad.
The program runs from May 29-July 23. Students receive 4 credits total. There will be a 3-credit language course and 1 credit for a class focused on culture. Prof. Giuseppe Mazzotta will be teaching the culture course for the beginning students and Prof. Millicent Marcus will teach the culture course for the intermediate students.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn Italian, experience another culture, and to study with renowned professors in a stunning environment.
