๐Ÿ—๏ธโœจ Our preschoolers put their STEM skills to the test today!

Using picture prompts as inspiration, children carefully observed details, developed a plan, and worked together to recreate buildings using a variety of materials. Through this hands-on experience, they strengthened their problem-solving, critical thinking, spatial awareness, and collaboration skills while bringing their ideas to life.

We love seeing the creativity, perseverance, and teamwork that emerge when children are challenged to think like engineers! ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿงฑ

Our toddlers got creative today exploring painting with cardboard tubes! Using simple materials in new ways encouraged curiosity, imagination, and self-expression while strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

The children enjoyed stamping, rolling, and experimenting with different patterns and colors, discovering that art can be made with more than just paintbrushes! We love providing open-ended experiences that allow children to explore, create, and learn through play.

Exploring the Plant Life Cycle in Toddlers!

Our toddlers have been busy little scientists as they explored the life cycle of plants! Through hands-on experiences, the children planted seeds, watered them with care, and observed the changes that occurred over time.

As they watched their plants grow, they learned about what plants need to thrive, including sunlight, water, and soil. This investigation sparked meaningful conversations, encouraged curiosity, and helped our young learners develop an understanding of the natural world around them.

We love seeing children ask questions, make predictions, and celebrate each new sprout that appears. Growing a plant is a wonderful reminder that learning, just like nature, happens one step at a time! ๐Ÿ’š

Summer Explorations: Fizzing Volcanoes!

Our Kindergarten Prep scientists have been busy asking big questions and exploring the world around them through hands-on STEM learning!

Today, we created our very own volcanic eruption in the classroom. By mixing vinegar and powder, children observed a bubbling chemical reaction that looked just like a volcano erupting. They made predictions, carefully watched what happened, and then recorded their observations through drawings and writing.

Experiences like these help children build critical thinking skills, strengthen scientific inquiry, and encourage curiosity about how the world works.

๐Ÿ”ฌโœจ Learning is always more exciting when we can explore, experiment, and discover together!

Summer Explorations: Color-Changing Flowers! ๐Ÿ”ฌ๐ŸŒธ

Our Kindergarten Prep children continued asking big questions about the world around them as they explored a fun STEM experiment today!

Using white flowers, water, and different food coloring dyes, the children made predictions about what might happen when the flowers absorbed the colored water. Throughout the day, they carefully observed the changes, journaled their findings, and discussed the cause-and-effect relationship they were seeing in action.

Hands-on discoveries like these help children build critical thinking skills, develop scientific inquiry, and foster a lifelong love of learning. We can't wait to see what questions our little scientists explore next!

๐ŸŒŽโ™ป๏ธ Did You Know?

Did you know that millions of plastic toys end up in landfills each year, where they can take hundreds of years to break down? Small choices, like reusing and sharing toys, can help reduce waste and teach children the importance of caring for our planet. ๐Ÿ’š

As we approach the final week of our Plastic Free July Toy Swap, we want to thank all of the families who have participated so far! The toy swap has been a wonderful way for children to discover new treasures while giving gently loved toys a second life.

There's still time to join in! Bring in a clean, gently used toy and swap it for something new-to-you. Together, we're showing our children how simple actions can make a big difference for our environment.

Play-Doh Shell Prints! โœจ๐Ÿš

Our preschoolers combined creativity and fine motor development during a fun shell printing experience! Using a variety of seashells, the children pressed the shells into Play-Doh to create detailed imprints and explore the unique patterns and textures found in nature.

This hands-on activity helped strengthen fine motor skills, hand muscles, and coordination while encouraging observation, discovery, and creative expression.

We love providing opportunities for children to learn through play and explore the world around them in meaningful ways!

Kindergarten Prep Journaling Fun! ๐Ÿ“šโœ๏ธ

Our future kindergarteners have been hard at work building early writing skills through journaling! Journaling encourages children to express their thoughts, strengthen fine motor skills, practice letter formation, and develop confidence as emerging writers.

Whether they're drawing pictures, writing their names, sounding out words, or sharing stories about their day, every mark on the page is an important step in their learning journey. We love watching their creativity, imagination, and independence shine through!

๐ŸŒŸ Ask your child about their journal today and invite them to share their favorite page with you. Celebrating their work helps build excitement and confidence as they prepare for kindergarten!
