Call for Doctoral and Post-doctoral Students for an ISF-funded Research Project on Regionalism and the Law

Applicants should submit a letter of interest, CV, and two names of potential recommenders to the following emails: [email protected] and [email protected]. Please submit your application no later than March 15, 2020.

The submission deadline for the YLS 9th Annual Doctoral Scholarship Conference will be postponed to July 19th.

The Workshops are:

“International Law”; “Law & Economics, Network Theory, and Policy​”; “Law and Philosophy”; and “​Public Law and Institutional Design: Assemblies, Executives, Courts, Agencies​”.

I’ve had the privilege of co-organizing the 5h and 7th iterations of this incredible conference and I’m happy to be able to return for a third time.

Through the format of intense workshopping in small and intimate thematic working groups, the Yale Law School Doctoral Scholarship Conference is not another panel-based conference where speakers talk for an hour, the moderator talks for an additional fifteen and there’s maybe time for one useful question if you’re lucky. Rather through the model of cooperative and collective melding of the minds around selected pieces we ensure both the development of a closer and tighter community of early scholars as well as provide high level and in-depth commentary on works-in-progress to assist in their eventual publication. Quite frankly, and while I’m biased, I’ve attended many doctoral events and strongly believe that this one is one of the best out there. If you’re eligible, do yourself a favor and apply!
