📸 Have a Photogenic Property? I’d Love to Hear From You!

PhotoArtGraphy is looking for interesting local properties that could potentially serve as locations for future photo shoots.

I’m especially interested in farms, barns, orchards, fields, horse properties, beautiful yards and gardens, warehouses, auto garages, restaurants, historic or unusual buildings, interesting homes - and places I probably haven't even thought of yet!

If you own or manage a photogenic property around New Freedom, Shrewsbury, Stewartstown, Glen Rock, Railroad, Maryland Line, or elsewhere in Southern York County or nearby northern Maryland, I’d love to explore whether we could create a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Depending on the property and situation, PhotoArtGraphy may be able to provide something in return - perhaps complimentary business photography, a family or individual photo shoot, promotional exposure, or another arrangement that works for both of us.

And don't assume your property isn't “special” enough. Sometimes one great barn wall, field, room, porch, workshop, staircase or row of trees is all it takes to create an amazing photography location.

Please feel free to share this with someone who owns a property that might be a great fit! 📷

🎭 A little something different from my usual PhotoArtGraphy posts!

This year, I’m teaching Drama once a week for grades 6–12 at the LAF homeschool co-op in Shrewsbury, PA. We’ll be exploring acting, improv, character development, comedy, storytelling, acting for the camera, directing, and more - all leading toward an end-of-year performance showcase.

Creative storytelling and working with young people have always been important parts of what I do, both within and beyond photography, so I’m excited to bring some of those worlds together this year.

There’s still room in the Drama class! Local homeschool families with students in grades 6–12 who may be interested can contact LAF Co-op about registering.

Our first class is this Thursday morning - looking forward to a fun year of creating, learning, and performing! 🎬🎭

Before the dancing came the headshots. 📷

We began this recent Nixon Park photo shoot with a series of traditional headshots before moving on to the dance portraits I shared earlier.

For young dancers and performers, a photo session can be about more than capturing movement. PhotoArtGraphy can also create headshots and portfolio portraits alongside dance photography - all during the same session.

I love the variety of expressions we captured in just a short amount of time!

PhotoArtGraphy offers headshots, performer portraits and dance photography for individual dancers, families and dance studios throughout York County, Southern Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland.

Dance photography + 90-degree heat + a little wildlife! 🩰📷

I recently had the opportunity to photograph this talented young dancer at Nixon Park in York, PA. We started the session with some traditional headshots before moving into dance portraits along the trails and walkways surrounding the Nature Center.

I had scouted the area shortly before the session to find some good locations - and unexpectedly encountered a snake along the way! Thankfully, our slithering friend didn't make another appearance once the photo shoot began. 🐍 The dancer did, however, get a surprise of her own when a praying mantis startled her as we were wrapping things up!

The bigger challenge was the weather: about 90 degrees and very humid. Not exactly ideal conditions for repeatedly holding dance poses and performing leaps for the camera, but she handled it wonderfully - and I'm really pleased with what we were able to create in a relatively short session.

I work with individual dancers and dance families, and I'm also available to work with dance studios interested in creative portraits, promotional photography, dancer headshots, portfolio images and more.

PhotoArtGraphy is based in New Freedom, PA and serves dancers and studios throughout York County and surrounding areas of Pennsylvania, as well as Northern Maryland.

If you're a dancer, dance parent, instructor or studio owner and would like to create something together, I'd love to hear from you.

📸 New Freedom End-of-Summer Parade 2026!

New Freedom wrapped up the summer with a community parade on Saturday, and I had the opportunity to photograph the afternoon.

From fire trucks and first responders to classic cars, local businesses, community organizations, families, and plenty of fun moments along the route, I’ve put together a new blog post highlighting the parade:
