Meet Meghan: The Heart Behind Next Stage Talent Management

When families begin exploring professional opportunities for their children, credentials matter.
But character, experience, and heart matter even more.

Next Stage Talent Management is guided by Meghan — someone who understands this journey from every angle: educator, industry participant, dance mom, and trusted member of the EMC community.

Meghan studied Dance Education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and later earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Goucher College. Since 2012, she has served as a dedicated public high school dance educator, helping students grow not only in skill, but in confidence, discipline, and professionalism.

Her industry experience began early with on-set work as a background performer in Step Up 2: The Streets, followed by commercial bookings including campaigns for Papa John’s Pizza. But her most meaningful industry education came over the past seven years — walking alongside her own daughters as they pursued professional opportunities in film, television, commercial, print, and theater.

Through thoughtful guidance and strategic decision-making, Meghan successfully secured representation with respected New York City managers and agents for both daughters. Their credits include the feature film Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, appearances on Evil Lives Here, Noggin Knows, and PBS Kids, along with commercial and print campaigns for Food Network, Ge**er Childrenswear, and Macy’s. Collectively, they have worked on more than 60 professional commercial, print, film, and television sets.

Beyond bookings, Meghan has become deeply experienced in self-taping techniques, casting platforms, audition preparation, travel coordination for New York City work, and the day-to-day realities of balancing childhood with professional expectations. She is also an industry-approved acting and modeling headshot photographer.

But within EMC, Meghan is also something more personal.
She is a dance mom.
A teaching team member.
A backstage class mom.
A familiar, steady presence in our community.

She understands both the excitement and the questions families have because she has asked them herself.

A group of students wrote and delivered a respectful, well thought out email to their teachers about a combined class situation, exactly the kind of self advocacy the show has encouraged all along.

Robin walks through how the studio is responding, including a planned listening session and the search for a third teacher.

Then a parent who held back from reaching out reconsiders, and Robin clarifies what "don't email me at 11pm in a heated moment" actually means, and what it doesn't.

Tiny Dancers, Big Dreams

Is she ready to twirl, leap, and shine? At EMC Performing Arts Studio, our dance classes for ages 2–6 are designed to do more than teach steps—they build confidence from the very first plié.

We know she might feel a little nervous walking into her first class. That's completely normal! Our warm, experienced teaching team is here to make her feel at home the moment she arrives. With gentle encouragement and lots of smiles, we create a safe, joyful space where she can stretch outside her comfort zone at her own pace.

We made a change to the Free Form Friday / Pom Pop Up schedule.

Mother/Daughter Poms is now Poms (Without Moms) 🤣 for ages 9+. C'mon Dancers, AcroGymnasts, Music and Theater kids...bring a friend to EMC this Friday for a fun time. It's all FREE!

From 8:00-9:00, I would love to see our teens, teachers and grads come out to get their groove on.

What else do have planned for Friday? (Oh no...is it Homecoming?). 😩

Meet Miss Julie:

In 2008, Julie Roda graduated with a Bachelor's in Musical Theatre from Point Park University located in Pittsburgh, PA. At the conservatory she studied all theatrical disciplines. While in Pittsburgh, she performed at the University and locally. After University, Julie moved to New York City and pursued her dream.

Julie was recently seen on stage as Marmee (Little Women) and Grizabella (CATS) at The Belmont Theater in York. Last year, she also music directed TITANIC at The Belmont Theater. Julie is a versatile singer/actor that brings a lot of power and passion to the roles she plays. Her passion for theater and performance is contagious and she loves to see those she works with grow in skill and confidence.

Julie is thrilled to be at EMC and looks forward to working with beginner and advanced students as they refine their performance skills.
