I just made dinner! This meal strangely enough reminded me of something Manman would make for Papa on the rare occasions that he would come and visit us on the Boulevard in Cap- Haitien. It bought me a bit of nostalgia years after leaving my hometown! Papa did not eat red meat and dark beans because of his blood pressure. Interesting how a meal Could bring you back to your childhood! Enjoy your week family! Be blessed always!
Saturday was such a joyous day! First, let me thank God for inspiring my sister Olga to organize the family reunion. Spending time with family we have not seen in years is a rejuvenating experience. There were four generations in one room! One of the few of my mother’s first cousin, tante Marie, was with us. I have not seen her in years, what a blessing! It was also a pleasure to see my nephew Najee! We saw a childhood friend/ brother of my sister Olga, what an honor to see him! Our cousins, children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren spend a great night together. We caught up with the latest news about my mother’s other cousins, children, grandchildren and great grand children! I even spoke to one of cousin, Emmeline, by phone, we share the same name. 😂❤️My mom and dad had seven children, Olga, Colonel Emmanuel. Dr. Andre, Harry, Hugo, Arnie, many grandchildren and great grand children. I am proud of all of us! We are great role models for the next generations! As our eldest sister Olga said: “she planted the seed now it is up to the next generation to continue the legacy.” For those who could not attend, you were in our heart and we missed you! Be blessed always family!

Thank you family and friends for the Birthday wishes. Special thanks to for surprising me with a 24 hour visit from Philadelphia and made sure I had a relaxing day! Thank you Julia, and for the gifts, dinner and flowers. I can’t wait for our Mother’s Day weekend celebration! I am bless beyond measure. I am happy to say I look forward to what 66 has to offer! It has been 26 years since your departure from earth yet it feels like yesterday! I can’t even explain the void that is still in my heart. When I observe Marceline’s relationship to Daniel and the way that they love each other, all I see is you! You taught all@of us how to love and take care for each other! You loved hard and cared deeply for family and friends. You were a very caring and loving person and would sacrifice everything for family. I miss your big smile and your words of encouragement. I love you forever my sweet Natalie! Continue to Rest in Glory, give Maman a hug for me as well!
