As we completed the end of the alphabet, we pretended to be Zz for zookeepers today and explored our felt board zoo manipulatives. We also read two fascinating books, Barney Goes to the Zoo and Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You Hear? The children had so much fun learning about zoo animals and the sounds they make. 🦁🐼📚

This week, while getting ready for Memorial Day weekend, the children created beautiful star paintings using different star shapes along with red and blue paint. ⭐🇺🇸🎨

Our Benim Tots had a wonderful day exploring the texture of sand and glue as the children created beautiful sand paintings. We discussed where sand can be found, including at the beach, at the bottom of the ocean, and even in the desert as we continue learning about different habitats.
We also enjoyed playing outside and observing our butterflies flying after coming out of their chrysalis. The children were so excited to watch this amazing transformation! Tomorrow we will be releasing them stay tuned 🦋✨
At Benim Academy of Pearl River, our Montessori students are learning the art of embroidery while building patience, concentration, and fine motor skills.

As we continue learning about habitats, we are also exploring how ants live and work together. Today, our Benim Tots observed the ants carrying food, building tunnels, and working as a team inside their habitat. We used magnifying glasses to take a closer look and talked about how every ant has an important job in helping their colony, just like in our Ocean Room classroom at ECC where we all work together, help one another, and each have an important role every day. 🐜🔍
Our little ones sang their hearts out in honor of their moms.
