It’s easy to get caught up in sending out as many applications as possible, especially when you’re trying to land an internship or your first job. But finding the right opportunity is about more than checking boxes on a job description.

Ask yourself: ✨
Do I actually want to do this work?
Will I learn something valuable?
Does this opportunity make sense for where I want to go next?

And remember—you DON’T have to meet every single qualification to apply. Don’t count yourself out before they even get the chance to consider you. 👏

You don’t have to check every box to be worth an interview. 💼✨

Too many students and early-career professionals see one requirement they don’t meet and immediately decide, “I’m not qualified.”

But internships count. Projects count. Leadership experience counts. Volunteer work counts. Transferable skills count.

A job description often describes the ideal candidate—not the only candidate they’ll consider.

So if you’re interested in the role and believe you can bring value, apply.
