⭐️ Sanaa is off!
—> For all of our shenanigans, you can count on Sanaa to make sure they’re on video. You can also count on her to be the best safety captain and mechanical member! Sanaa has been such a positive influence on our team, making sure the team and robot is grounded during pit stops. She’s always making sure the team is organized at competitions, whether that’s starting the live stream or posting updates for our online members.
You’ll usually find her recording an iconic moment, or quoting something diabolical.
🦅 She will be majoring in mechanical engineering at Central Connecticut University! Congrats, 181 will miss you!

🦅CONGRATS BELLA!
—> Our beloved operator and energy drink connoisseur is graduating after 2 short yet impactful on Birds of Prey!
From handling wiring, crafting business plans, scouting in the pits, and operating the robot, Bella has done it all! She’s given her all for seeing the team thrive, and has dedicated herself to the FIRST community and 181.
You can find her downing her 3rd Celsius of the day, or cadding the intake for the robot- she’s always busy in making sure 181 is at its best.
⭐️ Bella will be majoring in computer engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology this fall. 181 is excited to see what else you accomplish!

🐐 SHI YAO IS OFF!
—> Since his sophomore year when he joined, Shi Yao has contributed heavily to not only the robot every year, but to the team culture as well. You’ll find him 90% of the time in the machine shop, working on the robot or teaching his peer members how to use the machines. He’s your go-to person if you don’t know what size drill bit to use, or if you just want to talk about life- he’s always willing to help!
🐾 Shi Yao will be studying engineering physics at the University of Connecticut! Roll skies!

🪸181 build SEAson ~shore~ has been a lot of fun!

—> After kickoff, we dove into prototyping, and have had a lot of fun implementing our new KRAKEN motors this year, with our first year of swerve as well 👀
—> As we near the shore, we want to recognize our sponsors and thank our friends at Pratt & Whitney for their help and support!
