A big thank you to our local Health Department for visiting our KG–2nd grade students and teaching them the importance of proper handwashing! Our students had a great time learning through a hands-on demonstration and practicing those healthy habits. 🫧👏

Calling all 2nd-5th grade students! Here is an opportunity to practice playing chess on Tuesday mornings in the LPE cafeteria! See more information on the flyer! ♟️ Our GT teacher Kathy Green will be leading our students in learning to play! 💚

In the case you are new to NBISD, our district hosts four chess tournaments each year that we encourage our students to sign up for. Save these dates/locations and as soon as the sign-up link is published, you'll need to sign up immediately as the spots are taken fast. Dates/Locations: Sept. 19th at Voss Farms ES; Nov. 14th at Veramendi ES; Feb. 27th at Voss Farms ES; May 1st at Veramendi ES.
