Well, that’s a wrap! Summer program was a fun success… today brought our last learners together where we wrote in shaving cream, drew happy turtles, matched alphabet, exercised to 100, searched for shapes, discovered a newly hatched cicada, followed a slithering snake, savored chocolate cake and created floating people!!!

My hats go off to the parents who added extra learning this summer to keep their child’s brain from summer drain!
Was very proud of the little one’s efforts and progress!

Preparing your child for their first day of preschool involves creating a positive experience through gradual adjustments and supportive practices. Engaging in discussions about preschool and establishing a routine can significantly ease the transition for both the child and the parents.

Tips for Preparing Your Child for Preschool
Here are some effective strategies to help your child adjust.

Positive Talk — Discuss preschool in a positive light to build excitement and reduce anxiety.
School Visits — Parent is asked to accompany child to their first day which eases anxiety, builds trust and familiarizes both parties with the classroom routine as well as the teacher and other families.
Routine Establishment — Start a consistent daily routine a few weeks prior to help your child adapt.
Practice Skills — Encourage self-care skills like dressing and using the restroom independently.
Goodbye Ritual — Create a special goodbye routine to make drop-off easier. Drop offs are best short and sweet!
