Broadway’s Smash Musical, “Something Rotten!” Comes to the Historic Masonic Theatre.

New Bern’s Rivertowne Players present Something Rotten! This hilarious musical comedy tells the story of brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom, two playwrights stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rockstar Will Shakespeare. When a soothsayer foretells the next big thing in theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, the Bottom brothers set out to write the world's very first musical. Packed with show-stopping musical numbers and a hilariously eccentric cast of characters, Something Rotten! is a laugh-out-loud celebration of creativity, ambition, and the magic of theatre.

Music & Lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick Conceived by Karey Kirkpatrick and Wayne Kirkpatrick. *Something Rotten is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

Goodness! What a crazy Spring!🌷

In March I got to music direct SpongeBob the Musical at New Bern Civic Theatre with a few of my students from my studio. 🧽⭐️🐿️🦑🦀🐳🪼
In April and May several of my students performed in musicals and theatre productions. 🎶🎭
At Richlands High, I saw three of my online students in leading roles of Cinderella.🧺👠👑👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏻
For Elysian Player’s production of Mamma Mia my student got to play Sophie for her senior year! 🪩🎤🌊👰🏼‍♀️
At Epiphany, I saw another student play the lead in Annie Jr.🗽🐕🏙️❤️
We traveled out to Farmville to see one of my first students since I opened my studio perform in their first theatre production, the Great Gatsby.🍸🍾🥂🎆
And this weekend we saw two of my students perform in New Bern High School’s production of Footloose.🕺💃🏻

It’s been a crazy busy few months and I am incredibly proud of all of my students! I’m so happy that I could see everyone perform before Cabaret goes up! Congratulations to all my students on fantastic performances!! 🥰🤩🎉
