New blog

You’ve had the training. You still haven’t had this one.

There’s a difference between checking a box and building a culture, and most orgs don’t know which one they paid for.

New blog post breaking down the 3 trainings every campus, clinic, and company actually needs (and the order that makes them work)

Many people are always asking me, “Do you do trainings?”

YEEEESSSSS. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I offer a variety of training programs tailored to the needs of your organization, institution, campus, or community.

One of my **top three requested trainings is my Safe Zone Training** 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

I’m so excited to be at **King’s College this fall** as one of the colleges on the **Let’s Get Juicyy Tour!** This training is for King's students, faculty, and staff only.

Over the years, I’ve participated in and sat through MANY “Safe Zone” trainings, especially within higher education. And one thing I’ve consistently noticed is the disconnect between having the information and actually knowing how to apply it.

Sometimes the materials are outdated. Sometimes important conversations are missing. And sometimes we spend so much time talking about creating “safe spaces” that we forget to ask:

What does it actually take to create spaces where LGBTQIA+ people can feel supported, participate fully, and GROW?

That’s where my training goes beyond terminology and definitions. We talk about practical application, current information, self-awareness, communication, and what inclusion actually looks like in everyday interactions.

Looking to bring me to your campus or organization for:

✨ Safe Zone Training
✨ Train-the-Trainer
✨ A review/update of your current Safe Zone program
✨ LGBTQIA+ education tailored to your organization

Let’s get juicy. 🍑

New Blog Out Now!

“A Pride flag in June is intentional. It’s scheduled, historical, and a celebration of a community that has fought for the right to exist openly. But compare that to what happens in everyday life. A stranger comments that I need to leave town. Someone in a store tells me how I should look or act. A man mocks me as I walk by. Someone tries to intimidate me in public. A barista laughs at my appearance. None of those moments were started by me. I wasn’t talking about my identity. I wasn’t asking for attention. I was buying groceries, getting coffee, walking down the street, spending time with friends, or simply existing like anyone else.”

Lately I’ve seen a lot of people claiming that LGBTQIA+ people are “obsessed” with themselves or constantly making everything about being q***r.

I mean… sure, who wouldn’t be obsessed with being pretty, popular, and hot? 😏

But seriously, that’s not what’s happening.

Most of us are just living our lives. The reality is that many of these conversations aren’t started by us. They’re started by the people who can’t stop noticing us, commenting on us, questioning us, or trying to police our existence.

This blog explores the difference between visibility and obsession, and why simply existing is so often mistaken for “making it your whole personality.”

How safe do the LGBTQIA+ people in my community feel? How does that compare to my experience? Take the global survey to find out!

The Franklin & Marshall Global Barometers, in partnership with the Human Rights Campaign, Outright International, Council for Global Equality, and other organizations, is pleased to launch the 2026 F&M Global Barometers LGBTQI+ Perception Index™ (GBPI). The GBPI is a survey asking LGBTQI+ people about their lived realities. The survey is confidential and anonymous, and takes 2–5 minutes to complete. Please take and share the survey with other LGBTQI+ people using the link below:

Take the survey at https://www.fandmglobalbarometers.org/survey/

The GBPI is launched every two years to show how LGBTQI+ experiences are changing worldwide. To learn more about the GBPI, please see past survey results or contact the F&M Global Barometers at [email protected].

New Blog of the week

I’ve been hearing this a lot lately whenever people talk about hate or discrimination.

“Just ignore the comments.”

And yes, sometimes ignoring them is the healthiest choice. Not every comment deserves your energy.

But I think we’ve started treating that phrase as the default response. Too often, “ignore the haters” becomes a way to avoid addressing harmful behavior instead of challenging it.

So I wanted to write about why that mindset can become a form of avoidance, what real allyship actually looks like, and when stepping in matters.

Thank you to the Greater Scranton YMCA for inviting me to spend time with your team!

We had a wonderful session covering the foundations of sexual orientation, gender identity, and LGBTQ+ awareness. My goal is always to create a space where people can ask questions, build confidence, and leave with practical tools they can use to make others feel seen, respected, and welcome.

I’m incredibly grateful for all of the kind feedback I’ve received. Thank you for your openness, engagement, and willingness to learn. It was a pleasure working with all of you!
