I woke up around 3am this morning with the Universe sending me some downloads. 😂
Great for inspiration. Not so great for sleep.
I feel fine today, but I know I didn’t get enough sleep to trade at my best. So before the market even opens, I’ve already made the decision:
I’m not trading today.
It’s just as important to know when NOT to trade as it is to know when to trade.
Today’s trading income: $0.00.
And I’m perfectly happy with that.
Cash is a position.
Now I’m going to take a nap. Because I can. 😊

Slow.
Nibbly.

Grateful.

Trading shouldn’t be exciting.

In fact, if it’s exciting...
you’re probably doing it wrong.

Excitement.
Fear.
Greed.
Frustration.
They’re all emotions.

And emotions have no place in professional trading.

This morning was a slow, nibbly kind of morning.

So I simply took what the market offered.

Three small trades.
CRM.
LULU.
NVDA.

Nothing extraordinary.

Just another day of executing the plan.
Then I shut the platform down.
That’s what consistency looks like.

Three minutes.
One trade.
17%.
Done.

This morning my goal wasn’t to make as much money as possible.
My goal was to make a quick $1,000, shut the platform down, and get on with my day.

I bought NVDA calls at $3.00.
Three minutes later, I sold them at $3.50.
+17%.

Could the trade have gone higher?
Yes.
It did.

Did I care?
No.

Because my goal wasn’t to catch every penny of the move.
My goal was to execute my plan.

That’s one of the biggest shifts traders have to make.

Success isn’t measured by how much you could have made.

It’s measured by whether you followed your plan.

Imagine making decisions from possibility instead of limitation.

One of the reasons I’ve been so quiet these past couple of months...
I’ve taken the summer off.

Not because I retired.
Not because I sold my business.
But because I learned a skill that allows me to step away and still have income coming in.

For me, that’s what freedom looks like.
The freedom to choose.

Learning to trade didn’t change my life overnight.

It gave me another option.
It gave me a skill.
And skills stay with you.

Most traders:

❌ avoid losses

Today in the NINJA Live room we started with CRWD calls.

The setup wasn’t broken.
But the options pricing was erratic.
Bopping all over the place.

I had only two contracts.
Small size.
I stopped out.

And then?
It went right back up and past my target.

That’s trading.
No drama.
No ego.
No revenge.

We had plenty of capital left.
We had alerts set.
We waited.

COIN triggered.
ORCL triggered.

One at a time.
Hit targets.
Finished green on the day.

Sometimes you lose.
The key is knowing how to lose.
When to cut it.
And staying emotionally neutral enough to wait for the next clean opportunity.

Most traders don’t fail because they can’t win.
They fail because they can’t lose properly.

Structure.
Patience.
Risk management.

That’s what we build.

Last weekend I decluttered my kitchen.

This weekend I decluttered my home office.

Five boxes of excess dishes gone.
Old papers gone.
Unused things gone.

Today I’m working from my home office for the first time in a while.

The dogs now have access to two floors instead of just the kitchen and lounge.

More space.
More freedom.

And interestingly?
They’re calmer.

Occasional zoomies up and down the stairs —
but mostly right here beside me.

Space changes energy.

Trading is no different.

Most people try to improve results by adding more:

More indicators.
More trades.
More opinions.
More screen time.

Rarely do they remove.

Remove overtrading.
Remove noise.
Remove impulse.
Remove ego.

Clarity isn’t created by adding.

It’s created by subtraction.

We trade one hour.
One or two trades.
Then we shut it down.

Discipline creates freedom.
