As we prepare for a new school year, we begin by giving thanks to God for the blessing of our children and for the opportunity to be part of such an important chapter in their lives. 🙏✨

To our little ones in Preschool who will experience their very first day of school tomorrow, we wish you a beautiful beginning filled with joy, confidence, new friendships, discoveries, and lots of learning. 🎒📚

🌟📚 EXCITING NEWS FOR OUR PRE-K FAMILIES! 📚🌟

Dear Pre-K Families,

At Rocio’s Learning Development Center, we believe that the early years are the beginning of a lifelong educational journey.

The experiences children have today help shape their confidence, curiosity, independence, social-emotional development, and love of learning for years to come.💙

For us, education is much more than preparing children to recognize letters and numbers. It is about helping each child think, communicate, explore, solve problems, express their creativity, build relationships, and discover that learning can be exciting and meaningful.

With this commitment in mind, we are very excited to announce an important new step for our Pre-K program. 🎓✨

📅 Beginning September 1, 2026, our Pre-K classroom will introduce The Learning Experience Curriculum from brightwheel. Through intentional, developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning experiences, our children will have opportunities to strengthen important areas such as:

🍦🍨 Our Ice Cream Shop Adventure! 🍨🍦

Today our little learners had so much fun exploring our dramatic play Ice Cream Shop.
Through pretend play, the children practiced important early learning skills while having a blast serving ice cream, taking orders, using the cash register, and interacting with their friends.

The Dramatic play helps children build language and communication skills, encourages creativity and imagination, strengthens social skills like sharing and taking turns, and introduces early math concepts such as counting and exchanging money. It also helps develop fine motor skills and confidence as they take on different roles.

We had a wonderful day filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of imaginative “sweet treats!” We are so proud of how engaged the children were and how they worked together to make our Ice Cream Shop come to life❤️
