ACT Tip for the Day:
There are multiple ways to correct a run-on sentence and separate two independent clauses:
- use a period
- use a semicolon
- use a colon
- add a dash
- add a comma and FANBOYS conjunctions (For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So)
- make one clause dependent

TIP: ACT will not force you to choose between one of these methods. If the answer choices include two or more of the above options, eliminate them and choose from those that remain.

ACT Summer Bootcamp vs. ACT Prep Online
If you can't decide which program would be best, see if this helps:

The ACT Summer Bootcamp may be a better option if..... the student is taking the June test and has a limited amount of time to study... this is his/her first time taking the test... the student just needs to refresh basic content knowledge, and gain some tips and strategies for navigating the test... you live in(or near) the Miss-Lou area.

ACT Prep Online may be the better option if..... the student has at least a month to prepare and will not be taking the test until July (or after)... the student has taken the test multiple times and appears to be stuck at a certain score... the student needs additional content knowledge in order to successfully improve his/her school... traveling would be inconvenient for you.
