🌟 Big Weeks for Catoosa Homeschool Beta Club!

🌟August has been an incredible month of leadership, growth, and national recognition for our club! I absolutely love sponsoring such an amazing group of students, and this month reminded me exactly why.

📅 August 8th: Officer RetreatOur newly elected student leaders gathered for our annual officer retreat. Our club thrives on a unique mentorship model where officers across all three tiers—Senior, Junior, and Elementary—collaborate closely. Watching our Senior leaders step up to guide the younger members is truly inspiring. It beautifully mirrors the powerful multi-generational teamwork found in major professional organizations.

📅 August 22nd: Induction, Installation, & Awards CeremonyThis past weekend, we officially installed our new officer team and celebrated a massive wave of growth!

✨ 24 New Inductees: A huge welcome to the new faces joining our Beta family.

📈 5 Moving Up: Congratulations to the 5 dedicated students who officially transitioned from Elementary to Junior, or Junior to Senior levels.One of my favorite parts of the ceremony was watching our members get up and speak so confidently during the officer installation and as they shared details about our upcoming community volunteer projects. We were also wowed by one of our members who shared her incredible violin skills with us—this was her third year playing for our group, and she is absolutely amazing! Homeschoolers are truly remarkable.

🏆 National Beta Honors & AwardsWe also took time during the ceremony to celebrate some monumental achievements from National Beta for the 2025–2026 year:

🥈 Silver Pillar of Service Pins: Both our Senior and Elementary level members earned this national honor! Living out the Beta motto, "Let Us Lead by Serving Others," our club had to average 50–74 hours of volunteer service per member to achieve this prestigious award. Our students absolutely knocked service out of the park!

🎖️ Educator of Excellence Awards: Leadership starts at the top! Our three Senior level sponsors received the highest honor a National Beta sponsor can achieve. This year, only 170 out of more than 20,000 sponsors nationwide earned this award, representing just 60 of more than 14,000 clubs.

A huge congratulations to all of our new members, and a massive thank you to the parents and guardians who help and support these students every step of the way. Let’s make this upcoming 2026–2027 year the best one yet!

National Sponsor RecognitionIn addition to our club awards, our Senior Level sponsors—Amanda Alexander, Terra Ham, and Kristen Holland—have been awarded the prestigious National Beta Educator of Excellence Award. This is the highest honor a Beta sponsor can receive. Out of over 20,000 sponsors nationwide, only 170 earned it this year, representing just 60 clubs recognized across the country. 📊

📆 What’s Next:

Official certificates and pins will be presented to Amanda, Terra, and Kristen locally.
