The Medley of Roses – 2026 ARS National Convention & Rose Show is almost here and the registration deadlines are rapidly approaching! Visit the Medley of Roses Website TODAY to make sure you are able to join us for this great event. https://medleyofroses.org

The last day to register for the Medley of Roses – ARS Convention & Rose Show is September 8, 2026. The hotel has also extended the deadline for convention rooms. Hotel reservations must be made by September 8, 2026. If you get a message that the night(s) that you are wanting to reserve are unavailable, send an email to [email protected] and we will work with the hotel management to try to add rooms to our block.

We were devastated when Robin Jennings told us that, due to circumstances beyond her control, she had to cancel her program at our convention. We still hate it. BUT, the silver lining in this cloud is that Kimberley Dean, Ms. Rose Geek herself, has graciously agreed to step in and fill that void. We are so excited to hear Kimberley and learn all about her new site. Not only will it help us buy MORE roses but it will help us make better choices to achieve the rose garden we all envision!!!!!! 😍

We are heartbroken to learn that Wendy Tilley passed away yesterday. Wendy has been a delightful fixture at every ARS convention for many years and she will be so missed. Prayers for Ryan and all of her family.

Rita Perwich is coming to Medley of Roses—with her brand-new book!

One of the exciting highlights of the 2026 American Rose Society National Convention & Rose Show in Nashville will be the opportunity to meet Rita Perwich, an American Rose Society Consulting Rosarian and longtime champion of natural, sustainable rose gardening.

Rita has been growing and teaching about roses for many years. She has written extensively for the American Rose Society and other gardening publications, served as editor of Roses & You, and was honored as the Pacific Southwest District’s Outstanding Consulting Rosarian in 2022. Now Rita has put her knowledge and philosophy into a wonderful new book:

Natural Rose Gardening: The Organic Guide to Growing Amazing Blooms

The book challenges the idea that beautiful roses require constant spraying and complicated chemical programs. Instead, Rita shares practical, sustainable approaches to soil, watering, companion planting, pests, diseases, pruning and more. And here’s the really exciting part:

Rita will have copies of her new book available for purchase at Medley of Roses in Nashville! The timing couldn’t be better. The book’s official publication date is October 6—just one day after the convention ends. Convention attendees will have the opportunity to get their copy early and meet the author herself.

Rita will also present “Natural Rose Gardening” on Saturday, October 3 at 3:00 p.m.

Important info!!!! We warned you a few days ago that we were SHORT on hotel rooms for a couple of the nights. As a few people discovered this week, we ran out!!!!! We have gotten a few more rooms from the hotel- but not a lot. If you haven't made your hotel reservations, we strongly encourage you to do so. We aren't sure we will be able to get more.
